I found this remedy while desperately browsing for an alternative to
cure the annoying soreness in my throat.

Summarized:

Mix equal amounts of listerine (any mouthwash) + hydrogen peroxide.
Gurgle and swish around. Do it at least 2 times.

Try not to rinse your mouth with water afterwards.
